Kyrgyzstan and Belarus strengthen ties in historical tourism

Bishkek, April 8, 2026 /Kabar/. Minsk hosts roundtable discussion as part of the Travel HUB international tourism forum.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the roundtable discussion was dedicated to the development of patriotic tourism and the preservation of historical memory in the CIS countries.

The Kyrgyz delegation was represented by Member of the Jogorku Kenesh Karim Khanjeza, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Erbol Sultanbaev, and Director of tourism department Erdenet Kasymov.

During the meeting, the following were discussed:

— the creation of joint tourist routes to sites of military glory;

— the preservation of historical truth;

— strengthening ties between youth in the CIS countries.

It was noted that patriotic tourism plays an important role in educating future generations based on a shared historical heritage. The visit also included a flower-laying ceremony at Victory Square and a visit to the Great Patriotic War History Museum.
