China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project: 3.5 million cubic meters of earthworks completed

Bishkek, March 26, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Erlist Akunbekov met with representatives of the company implementing the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, Ministry of Agriculture reports.

According to available information, the main design materials for the railway construction have already been prepared, and the drawings are being finalized and the relevant approvals are underway. Extensive work is underway at construction sites, involving over 5,000 people and over 5,600 pieces of equipment. The primary focus is tunneling, earthworks, and bridge construction. To date, over 3.5 million cubic meters of earthworks have been completed.

Minister of Agriculture emphasized the need for strict adherence to safety and environmental standards during the project's implementation.

It is noted that the Cabinet of Ministers will provide all necessary conditions, support, and coordination for the successful implementation of the project.
