Bishkek, March 26, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan continues to support entrepreneurs in the garment industry through preferential loans, Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov told on Birinchi Radio.

According to him, financing is being provided through two state-owned banks, and the total amount allocated is already approaching 1 billion soms.

The minister noted that the main recipients of the loans are companies operating within the legal framework. Enterprises operating without a full set of documents face restrictions in obtaining financing.

"Currently, loans are available to those who are officially registered, pay taxes, and comply with all requirements. Informal entrepreneurs are experiencing difficulties," Sydykov explained. He added that companies with "zero" reporting also face difficulties, as they lack the necessary declarations and supporting documents. This issue is currently being worked on jointly with banks. Meeting is planned for the near future to discuss possible solutions.

Sydykov emphasized that banks rely on deposits from individuals, so borrower transparency is important to them. While collateral requirements remain, options for simplifying lending terms within the framework of current legislation are being considered.

The minister also reminded that to receive state support, entrepreneurs must be officially registered and have all the necessary permits.
