Bishkek, Oct. 30, 2025 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan demonstrates a strong commitment to its development goals, with a clear vision outlined in the National Development Program 2030, stated Antje Grawe, the UN Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic, during the National Development Forum 2030.
According to her, Kyrgyz Government consistently implements an inclusive and people-centered approach that is fully consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“UN system supports the government's initiatives to integrate climate and social measures, as well as to strengthen interaction between various stakeholders. The program builds on Kyrgyzstan's recent achievements: the promotion of gender equality, progress towards the SDG goals, and the ambition to achieve middle-income country status by 2030,” Grawe emphasized.
She noted that the document defines four key interconnected areas of development aimed at ensuring real success for the country's seven million citizens:
- strengthening social protection systems to eradicate poverty and inequality;
- investing in human capital – education, youth support and empowerment;
- increasing climate change resilience and environmental protection;
- transitioning to "green" economy as the basis for sustainable growth.
In addition, the program focuses on democratic governance, inclusive citizen participation, and the development of a dynamic private sector to diversify the economy.
“Partnership and innovative financing mechanisms are vital for mobilizing resources and ensuring the effective implementation of the program. UN system is committed to continuing to support Kyrgyzstan's efforts, strengthening coordination among development partners and promoting policies that translate ambitions into real benefits for all citizens of the country,” concluded Antje Grawe.
