Kyrgyzstan, Georgia discuss prospects of expanding relations

Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Georgia Maksat Mamytkanov, who is in charge of coordinating his work with the Azerbaijani residence in Baku, met with Tamar Kolbia, head of the international relations and protocol service of the Georgian presidential administration. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding relations between the two countries, including the possibility of organizing visits at the highest level.

Issues of supporting Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy initiatives in the international arena were also discussed. In addition, Ambassador Maksat Mamytkanov met with Giorgi Tkemaladze, Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi.

The meeting discussed the issue of establishing city-twinning relations between Bishkek and Tbilisi in order to develop cooperation at the municipal level.

To note, one of the parks in the center of Georgia was named after Chingiz Aitmatov.
