Bishkek, June 25, 2026. /Kabar/. The Justice Council of Kyrgyzstan is introducing a judicial reserve system for candidates for first-instance court judges.
During the event, participants explained that the Justice Council will conduct a competitive selection process and create a candidate pool for local court judges.
According to Aibek Moldakunov, Justice Council Chairman of Kyrgyz Republic, at the end of 2025, specialists from the State Institution "Tunduk" developed a digital system, "Electronic Selection of Candidates for Judges of Kyrgyz Republic." This platform is designed to fully automate all competitive selection processes.
"The main objectives of the new platform are to ensure openness and transparency of competitive procedures, objective selection without outside interference, minimizing corruption risks, and reducing financial and time costs. The system is also designed to improve the efficiency of the Justice Council," said Aibek Moldakunov.
It is noted that the digital system covers the entire competition cycle.
"Applicants register through their personal accounts, submit documents, take a test, complete a written assignment, and undergo a final interview. The final result is determined after all rounds are completed. "Based on the data obtained, decisions will be promptly made on appointing judges to vacant positions," he noted.
Candidates will undergo intensive two-month training program. By the time of appointment, candidates from the reserve pool will be fully prepared to perform their duties. A similar practice has already been successfully used in neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
