Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2025. /Kabar/. On October 7, Kyrgyz Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva met with delegation from Japan in Bishkek.
According to the ministry, Deputy Minister Albert Makhmetkulov, ministry representatives, as well as Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hideki Goda, Chairman of the Japan-Kyrgyz Association for Economic Cooperation Tarutoko Shinji, and Director of the Global Business Department of the educational company Gakken Holdings, Kenji Momota, attended the meeting. During the meeting, the Japanese side presented a STEM curriculum developed by Gakken Holdings. In turn, the minister expressed interest in cooperation in the areas of early childhood development and teacher training in information technology and robotics.
It is important to provide schools with STEM equipment, starting from the 7th grade, and organize an exchange of experience for school principals. If there will be appropriate curriculum, teachers will be able to quickly master new technologies," Kendirbaeva emphasized. Tarutoko Shinji proposed launching a STEM project in one school as a pilot project and expanding it if successful. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish a joint working group to strengthen cooperation in education and implement the pilot project.
