Bishkek, June 10, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 9, meeting was held at the Department of Cinematography of Kyrgyzstan with Mongolian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Demchig Tegshjargal and Orgilmaa Bat-Erdene, head of the international relations and cooperation department of the National Cinematography Council of Mongolia. During the meeting, they discussed issues of expanding cooperation between the two countries in cinematography. The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint film projects, increasing the participation of filmmakers in international film festivals, and developing professional ties.
Following the meeting, the parties signed Memorandum of Cooperation. The document is expected to foster long-term and systematic collaboration in the film industry, facilitate the exchange of experience, and implement new creative initiatives.
Furthermore, as part of the Days of Mongolian Cinema, films by renowned Mongolian directors that have received recognition at international film festivals will be presented to Kyrgyz audiences. The department noted that this cultural event creates additional opportunities to explore the cinematic achievements of the two countries and expand creative contacts.
