Bishkek, June 29, 2026. /Kabar/. First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov participated in the ninth meeting of the Youth Council of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which was held in Baku.
According to the ministry, 120 delegates from 17 countries participated in the event. The main topic of discussion was youth participation in sustainable urban development.
In his speech, Nadyrbekov noted the rapid pace of urbanization observed in the CICA region, citing the dynamic development of Bishkek and Osh as examples.
He also highlighted the key challenges facing Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing that improving air quality and enhancing the reliability and safety of urban infrastructure are particularly important given the country's mountainous terrain and seismic conditions.
Furthermore, the Deputy minister emphasized the need to shift from traditional consultation formats to genuine and equal partnerships with youth to fully unlock their creative, innovative, and digital potential.
Following the meeting, the participants adopted a final document—the recommendations of the ninth meeting of the CICA Youth Council.
