Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2026 /Kabar/. Current international and regional agendas, including the Palestinian question, the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, and the strengthening of cooperation among states were discussed at the 52nd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held on October 17–18 in Baghdad, Iraq.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a delegation from the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, led by Deputy Minister Kairat Tursunkulov, participated in the meeting.

The session was held under the theme "Dialogue and Solidarity: Two Key Foundations for Promoting Peace and Sustainable Development." Participants also addressed ways to strengthen Islamic solidarity and foster political, economic, social, and humanitarian cooperation among OIC member states.

In his remarks, Kairat Tursunkulov emphasized the importance of dialogue, solidarity, and mutual understanding between nations. He highlighted the need for the international community to join forces to address regional and global challenges, ensure peace and stability, and advance the goals of sustainable development.

Furthermore, the Deputy Minister invited OIC member states to participate in the Second Global Mountain Summit, "Bishkek+25," which will serve as a key event within the framework of the "Five-Year Action Plan for the Development of Mountain Regions", an initiative proposed by Kyrgyz president.

On the sidelines of the session, Kairat Tursunkulov also met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Oman, Khalifa Al-Harthy. The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation and collaboration within the OIC and the UN, and outlined plans for future engagement.
