Kyrgyzstan presents its healthcare priorities at meeting of business partners of OTS

Bishkek, April 10, 2025. /Kabar/. A meeting of business partners on the topic of "Attracting Investments in Healthcare of the Organization of Turkic-speaking states" was held in Astana.

The Health Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported that the event brought together representatives of government agencies, business circles, international organizations and investment structures of the organization's member countries.

A delegation headed by Minister of Health Erkin Checheibaev represented Kyrgyzstan at the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to create an open and productive platform for strengthening partnerships, developing interstate cooperation and expanding investment potential in the healthcare sector of the Turkic countries.

In his speech, the Kyrgyz health minister outlined key areas for strategic investments in the national healthcare system. The priorities included:

Localization of production of medicines and medical devices on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic;

Construction of modern multidisciplinary medical centers that meet international standards;

Development of primary health care as the basis for accessible and high-quality medicine;

Strengthening public health, including programs for the prevention of non-communicable diseases, which will significantly reduce the burden on the system;

Introduction of personalized medicine, including the use of molecular genetic research in the selection of therapy, taking into account the experience of Turkiye;

Development and implementation of mechanisms for joint strategic procurement of drugs and medical devices between the countries of the OTS.

The Kyrgyz side emphasized its readiness for an open and long-term dialogue with potential investors, and also expressed confidence that the consolidation of efforts of the countries of the Turkic world will be an important step towards building sustainable and effective healthcare systems.
