Kyrgyzstan, Shandong province to strengthen interregional cooperation

Bishkek, March 2, 2026 /Kabar/. On March 1, Deputy Chairman Edil Baisalov met with Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China Lin Wu in Jinan.

According to the Cabinet's press service, during the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the high level of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China and discussed the development of interregional cooperation. The importance of partnerships between Kyrgyzstan's regions and Shandong Province was emphasized.

Edil Baisalov also discussed intensifying practical cooperation, including the creation of new production facilities in Kyrgyzstan to support small and medium-sized businesses.

"Thanks to the high rates of socioeconomic growth achieved over the past five years under the leadership of President Sadyr Zhaparov, Kyrgyzstan is entering a new stage of its development. Today, the country's leadership has set the goal of mass implementation of new production technologies, the opening of export-oriented industrial enterprises, and the creation of new jobs for our youth. "The Kyrgyz government is currently developing a number of new state programs in this area and intends to actively build on the experience and practical cooperation with China," the deputy chairman stated.

Shandong Provincial Party Committee Secretary Lin Wu confirmed his readiness to facilitate the expansion of comprehensive cooperation, the development of investment ties, the launch of new industrial supply initiatives, and the intensification of humanitarian exchanges.

Following the meeting, the parties outlined steps to further strengthen interregional cooperation and agreed to continue working together to implement the agreements reached. During the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation visited several leading machine-building enterprises in the province.
