Kyrgyzstan temporarily bans use of certain rare plants until 2027

Bishkek, June 12, 2026 /Kabar/. The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision reminds that Cabinet of Ministers resolution of May 28, 2024 temporarily bans use certain plant species classified as rare and valuable natural resources.

During the moratorium, the collection, procurement, use, transportation, purchase, sale, and export of these plants, as well as the procurement of wild medicinal, industrial, and food plant materials, are prohibited.

These include: Macrotomia DC, Arnebia Forssk, Dictamnus L, Aconitum L, Allium aflatunense B.Fedtsch, Rhodiola L, Helichrysum maracandicum, Lindelofia olgae, Lindelofia macrostyla (Bunge), Lindelofia stylosa, and Lindelofia tschimganica.

The moratorium is in effect until January 1, 2027.
