Bishkek, Jan. 26, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan needs to develop a digital tourism platform. This was announced by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers at staff meeting of the Presidential administration.
According to him, tourism services are currently disunited. With the launch of the new platform, all services provided to tourists will be unified, creating a more convenient experience for vacationers.
"Visas, itineraries, reservations, transportation, and insurance are not interconnected. As a result, tourists waste time, face complex procedures, and encounter language barriers. Since each government agency operates within its own information system, the tourism supply chain is broken. As a result, the government lacks complete and accurate information, businesses lack a unified digital space, and tourists lack clear and reliable information. To address these issues, the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, together with the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies, must develop a unified digital platform as soon as possible. This platform should integrate government services, business services, and payment instruments," he noted.
Adylbek Kasymaliev also gave a number of instructions to government agencies regarding the development of the digital tourism project:
- Department of Tourism is to define the requirements for the digital tourism platform, develop its functionality, and act as the government's customer for the project;
- Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies is to provide funding for the development, implementation, and expansion of the platform within two months;
- Ministry of Finance is to allocate funding for the operation and maintenance of the digital tourism platform for the next year;
- Tunduk Institution is to ensure the development, implementation, and technical support of the platform, prepare it within three months, and present it in test mode;
- To ensure the integration of the digital tourism platform with the relevant information systems of government agencies and Tunduk system.
