Bishkek, May 19, 2026. /Kabar/. Modern machinery and equipment have been delivered to Kyrgyzstan to support forestry, grow seedlings and preserve ecosystems, Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry reports.
According to the information, this was carried out with the support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Adaptation Fund within the framework of the "Resilience of Regional Pasture Communities - ADAPT" project.
Modern equipment was provided to the Kara-Kulja and Osh forestry enterprises, the Chon-Kemin State Nature Park and the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after Skryabin.
Grant agreements worth 49.7 million soms were also signed with state institutions for the development of nurseries. In addition, grant agreements worth 112.1 million soms were signed with 18 forestry enterprises to carry out forest restoration work on an area of 1,522 hectares.
As part of the project, forest restoration and afforestation will be carried out on an area of 2,500 hectares across the country.
