Kyrgyzstan's tourist flow increases by 45% in 2025

Bishkek, May 21, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is seeing significant growth in tourist flow and infrastructure for vacationers. According to the National Statistical Committee, 5.31 million people visited the country in 2025, a 45.2% increase from 3.66 million tourists in 2024.

This growth is driven by both the organized and unorganized tourism sectors. The organized sector are hotels, boarding houses, sanatoriums, and travel agencies, hosted 3.57 million vacationers, 50.3% increase from the previous year. The unorganized sector are guest houses, local rentals, and the private sector hosted 1.73 million tourists, a 36.2% increase.

In the Issyk-Kul region, one of the country's main tourist centers, the number of vacationers increased by 32.1%, from 1.99 million to 2.63 million.

At the same time, tourism infrastructure is expanding. In 2025, there were 842 recreation and tourism organizations in Kyrgyzstan, 9.8% increase from 2024. In the Issyk-Kul region, the number of guesthouses increased from 2,013 to 2,316, and the number of households hosting tourists increased from 4,866 to 6,330, indicating growing local activity in the tourism sector.

Experts note that the expansion of tourism infrastructure and the growing number of tourists indicate the continued strengthening of Kyrgyzstan's tourism industry and its attractiveness as a domestic and international destination.
