Meeting of Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian Countries kicks off in Tashkent

A meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian Countries has kicked off in Tashkent, UzA reported.

This forum is devoted to the global and regional approaches to ensuring women’s rights and gender equality.

Representatives of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, heads of regional UN structures, as well as government and public figures are taking part in the event, led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva.

The participants will discuss issues such as political and social activism, women’s economic and entrepreneurial potential, their educational and reproductive health opportunities, and their role and importance in innovation and climate policy.

The final document will be adopted following the event.
