The first Forum of Regions of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan will be held in Minsk in the autumn of 2026, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said during a meeting with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev on 5 June, BelTA has learned.
Interregional cooperation remains an important element of bilateral interaction between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. Direct contacts have been established and are being actively maintained between the regions of the two countries.
“We believe it is essential to continue expanding this practice by adopting new formats of interaction, such as hosting forums of regions. Work is currently underway to prepare and develop the substantive agenda for the first Forum of Regions of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, which will take place in Minsk this autumn,” Aleksandr Turchin said.
