A Mongolian delegation set to compete in the “World Dog Show 2026” in Bologna, Italy, visited the Embassy of Mongolia in Geneva, Switzerland, ahead of the competition, Montsmae reported.
The prestigious international competition is expected to feature 31,050 dogs from around the world. Mongolia will be represented by delegates from the Mongol Bankhar Kynological Federation and the Mongolian Kynological Federation. Mongolia’s Ambassador to Switzerland Gerelmaa Davaasuren received the delegation and exchanged views on their participation in the event.
During the meeting, Tuvshintur T., Head of the Mongol Bankhar Kynological Federation, said the organization aims to introduce and promote internationally the Mongol Bankhar breed, which has long been an integral part of Mongolia’s nomadic heritage and traditional way of life.
He noted that the Mongol Bankhar reflects the close relationship between nomadic herders and nature and embodies centuries of cultural traditions associated with breeding, training, and caring for the breed.
