Bishkek, Febr. 17, 2026 /Kabar/. There are approximately 20 ski resorts in Kyrgyzstan, most of which are located in the Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Osh regions, Erdenet Kasymov, Director of the Department of Tourism told Kabar.
According to him, 10-12 resorts were actively operating this winter season. In early January, some of them were hosting approximately 4,000 people daily.
"A number of activities are being implemented to increase the diversity of the tourism market. There is an Association of Ski Instructors, which hosts competitions. Festivals aimed at popularizing winter tourism are also organized," Kasymov said.
