Issyk-Kul, Sept. 3, 2026 /Kabar/. The famous Maori musician and composer from New Zealand, Horomona Horo, is participating in the “Nomads Art” festival as part of the VI World Nomad Games.
The musician said that this was his first visit to Kyrgyzstan and noted that he was impressed by the nature of the country.
“Kyrgyzstan is wonderful! In my native language, it is called “Ataahua”. This means “wonderful”. This is my first time in Kyrgyzstan. The mountains are very beautiful, and the lake is also special. It reminds me of my homeland. I feel like I am at home,” he says.
According to him, he was looking forward to participating in this festival.
The musician will perform on traditional Maori instruments, including the pukaea, pungao, pumotomoto, putorino and porotiti.
“I use about six different traditional Maori instruments in total,” he added.
