Bishkek, March 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, as part of a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, attended an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the meeting, whose agenda included more than ten issues, was attended by the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union member states: the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the heads of delegations of the Union's observer states and the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
In his speech, Kasymaliev expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan, which currently chairs the EAEU bodies, for the warm welcome and also highlighted the Union's key socioeconomic indicators over the past five years and a number of pressing issues.
"Compared to 2020 figures, GDP growth in member states by the end of 2025 was observed in all Union countries. During this period, the volume of mutual trade in goods between Union member states increased. Over the past five years, the Kyrgyz Republic has seen increased economic growth. "All this clearly demonstrates that the strategy has played a key role in identifying the right areas for cooperation between our countries," he said.
Along with economic indicators, the Chairman discussed a number of Union issues, noting that the Treaty on the EAEU provides for the implementation of a coordinated policy on labor migration and ensuring the free movement of labor.
He also noted that the issue of ensuring logistics efficiency remains relevant. He noted that digital solutions ensure transparency and increase the speed of logistics processes.
It was also noted that the Union has begun implementing the Roadmap for the Implementation of the Development Declaration "Eurasian Economic Path," which sets ambitious goals for the union.
At the regular meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, in narrow and expanded formats, 13 issues were considered, and a number of documents were signed.
