Peaches grown in Uzbekistan are rich in vitamins A and C and contain silicon, potassium, phosphorus, iron, as well as micro- and macroelements, UzA reported.

In seven months, peach exports amounted to 87.9 thousand tons, generating revenues of $80.5 million. This figure demonstrates the competitiveness of the product. Uzbekistan ranked first in Russia’s list of top peach exporters.

Russia imported 69.9 thousand tons of peaches, Kazakhstan imported 13.1 thousand tons, placing second, while Kyrgyzstan imported 4 thousand tons. Exports to Belarus reached 615 tons, and to other countries, 259 tons of peaches.

Strengthening regional cooperation and expanding markets will enhance Uzbekistan’s export potential.
