Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, January 30, attended the opening ceremony of the building of the Military Medical Service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) in Bishkek, the presidential press service reported.

Addressing officers, veterans, and distinguished guests, the head of state emphasized that today marks the beginning of another important stage in strengthening the national security system – through caring for the health of personnel who protect the country's sovereignty, ensure stability within the country, and guarantee national security.

He congratulated those present on this significant event and shared archival information about the Military Medical Service. The institution's history began in the early years of Kyrgyz statehood. In the 1920s, medical units operated under extremely difficult conditions.

Later, in 1951, the Military Medical Service was established as an independent structure. Staffing levels and personnel assignments for medical institutions were officially approved.

The new building, with a total area of approximately 15,000 square meters, includes a military clinic with an operating room, an intensive care unit, and a rehabilitation department. It also includes a military hospital providing specialized and inpatient medical care. It also includes cardiovascular and general surgery departments. Furthermore, the medical complex is equipped with modern equipment, digital medical technologies, and high-tech surgery.

Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that all these measures are aimed at improving the quality of medical care, reducing treatment times, and ensuring prompt rehabilitation for patients.

President Sadyr Zhaparov then inspected the offices, which are equipped with modern equipment, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound and echocardiography machines, as well as the wards, conference room, cafeteria, and gym.
