President Zhaparov receives permanent representatives of foreign states to UN

Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2028. /Kabar/. On January 29, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov met with the permanent representatives of several foreign countries to the United Nations.

They exchanged views on pressing international issues, including the complex geopolitical situation in the world, challenges to international and regional security, the fight against terrorism and extremism, climate change, non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, and the promotion of sustainable development goals.

The head of state noted the country's unwavering commitment to the principles of the UN Charter, international law, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. He emphasized that in the context of growing global instability, dialogue, solidarity, and constructive interaction between states are particularly important.

The President expressed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue to contribute to strengthening international security, supporting initiatives for sustainable development, and advancing an agenda that reflects the interests of developing countries and small states. Sadyr Zhaparov noted that uniting the efforts of the international community is key to ensuring long-term stability and peace.

In turn, the permanent representatives of foreign states to the UN noted Kyrgyzstan's successes in socioeconomic development, its active and consistent role in deepening international cooperation, peacefully resolving regional conflicts and border issues, developing regional dialogue, and promoting sustainable development initiatives.

Kyrgyzstan's role as a state that consistently defends the interests of small and developing countries and advocates for a more inclusive and balanced international order was particularly noted.

The parties expressed their readiness to cooperate on the protection and sustainable development of mountain regions, the development of multilateral and bilateral trade and economic ties, investment and tourism, and cultural and educational exchanges.

The meeting was attended by the permanent representatives of foreign states to the United Nations from Andorra - Joan Forner Rovira, Chad - Abakar Mouktar, Gabon - Ghislaine Ondias Okuma, Guatemala - José Alberto Briz Gutiérrez, Guinea-Bissau - Samba Sané, Guyana - Caroline Rodriguez-Birkett, Namibia - Pendapala Andreas Naanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis - Mutrais Agatha Williams, as well as South Sudan - Cecilia Adut Manyok Adeng.
