President Zhaparov visits Pyramids, Grand Egyptian Museum

Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2025. /Kabar/. As part of his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov visited the famous pyramid complex on the Giza plateau, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Kyrgyz leader was told about the history of the pyramids, which symbolize the grandeur and engineering mastery of Ancient Egypt. President Sadyr Zhaparov also visited the Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and oldest of the three main pyramids of Giza, built around 2600 BC as the tomb of the Pharaoh Khufu.

Afterward, the head of state visited the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world, located near the pyramids. It houses a rich collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including Tutankhamun's golden mask, throne, chariots, and the funerary boat of Khufu, which is approximately 4,500 years old. President viewed the unique exhibits and noted the museum's importance for preserving World Cultural Heritage.

At the end of his visit, Sadyr Zhaparov signed the museum's distinguished guests' book, expressing gratitude to the Egyptian side for the warm welcome and the opportunity to experience the history of a great civilization.
