Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. Energy is one of the most important sectors of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated following bilateral talks in Bishkek.
The Russian leader arrived in Kyrgyzstan the day before on a state visit. During the meeting, economic cooperation, trade, and prospects for collaboration were discussed, and a number of bilateral documents were signed.
He noted that Russia fully meets Kyrgyzstan's gasoline and diesel needs, on preferential terms, without levying export duties, which also has a direct economic impact on the republic. Gazprom supplies natural gas to Kyrgyzstan and has joined the gasification program for Kyrgyz regions.
"Russian companies have been allocated over $400 million for these purposes, which has already increased the country's gas supply to 42%. And this work will continue," Putin said.
