Bishkek, April 2, 2025. /Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov today, April 2, received Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk as part of his visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The presidential press service reported that the head of state expressed confidence that the visit of the Russian deputy prime minister will be fruitful, and the reached agreements to contribute to the further strengthening of the strategic partnership based on special mutual understanding and complete trust.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction that the Kyrgyz-Russian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation is working very successfully.

He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and Russia are ready to continue to closely interact, developing full-scale cooperation in all areas.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk emphasized that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia is based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and consideration of the interests of both parties.

He also congratulated the head of state on the successful resolution of the border issue between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, noting that a peaceful settlement between the two allies is a significant factor in stability for Russia throughout Central Asia.

Alexey Overchuk expressed satisfaction with the level of interaction between the two countries within the framework of integration associations (EAEU, CIS, SCO, CSTO) and emphasized the active and fruitful cooperation of the countries within the Eurasian Economic Union. He noted that Kyrgyzstan’s participation in these processes gave a real impetus to the development of the country’s economy and the expansion of the potential of the entire union.
