Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. Today, December 12, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov addressed the international forum "Peace and Trust: Unity of Purpose for a Sustainable Future," dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust (2025), International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
In his address, the head of state, on behalf of Kyrgyzstan and on his own behalf, conveyed warmest congratulations to the fraternal Turkmen people on the occasion of this significant date – the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
He emphasized that Turkmenistan's policy of neutrality has ensured domestic political stability, public harmony, and laid a solid foundation for the country's progressive development.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan highly values Turkmenistan's contribution to regional processes and to strengthening the energy security of Central Asia and neighboring regions.
President also added that Turkmenistan's ongoing gas and energy projects significantly enhance the stability of energy supplies, expand markets, and create additional opportunities for mutually beneficial economic cooperation. In this context, he noted the successfully established cooperation between our countries in electricity supplies.
The head of state also noted the significant potential for cooperation in transport and logistics.
In this regard, the President emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is ready to participate in the development of multimodal routes, the expansion of existing corridors, and the creation of new joint logistics chains. "For our countries, modernizing transport and developing multimodal routes remain key objectives," said Sadyr Zhaparov. In this regard, he emphasized the particular significance of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, as well as the Kambarata-1 hydroelectric power station project in the energy sector.
"Certainly, these and other large-scale projects expand opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and open up new prospects for the development of our countries," the President stated. He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan highly values Turkmenistan's initiative to adopt a UN resolution declaring 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Kyrgyzstan has actively supported and co-authored this resolution, as it aims to strengthen the fundamental principles of international relations – dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect for the sovereignty of states.
Sadyr Zhaparov also noted Turkmenistan's active role in strengthening a unique regional format – the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
He emphasized that this mechanism for direct and trusting dialogue has become an important platform for discussing common challenges and developing coordinated approaches, which is particularly relevant in the current context.
"We are convinced that our countries face a common goal – to jointly strengthen peace, prevent conflicts, and promote sustainable development," the head of state stated.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic consistently supports international efforts aimed at strengthening stability. President emphasized that the successful completion of the legal formalization of state borders with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan this year was an important step along this path, making a significant contribution to regional security and reaffirming our commitment to a policy of peace and good-neighborliness.
