Bishkek, June 1, 2026 /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Marlen Mamataliev met with Hungarian Ambassador Sandor Dorogi in connection with the completion of his diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service of the Parliament, during the meeting, the current state of political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, as well as the embassy's role in strengthening bilateral ties, were discussed.

Marlen Mamataliev highly praised the work of Sandor Dorogi. "Thanks to your efforts, Kyrgyz-Hungarian cooperation has reached a strategic level and is developing successfully in all areas," he said.

He also noted that a stable dialogue has been established between the Jogorku Kenesh and the National Assembly of Hungary, emphasizing that interparliamentary ties make a significant contribution to strengthening Kyrgyz-Hungarian relations. "It is necessary to further strengthen cooperation, conduct joint events within parliamentary friendship groups and specialized committees, and exchange experiences in lawmaking and digitalization," the speaker noted.

The parties also exchanged views on expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Taking the opportunity, Mamataliev invited the Hungarian people and athletes to participate in the 6th World Nomad Games, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan this year.

In turn, Sandor Dorogi expressed gratitude to the Speaker for the comprehensive support provided during his diplomatic tenure and briefly outlined his work as Ambassador. He also highlighted the projects implemented by the embassy, ​​emphasizing that work in these areas would continue.

Sandor Dorogi also conveyed greetings from the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Agnes Forsthoffer, and shared his vision for the further development of interparliamentary cooperation.

Furthermore, during the conversation, the parties noted the need to intensify interaction on international platforms, including within the TurkPA.
