Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Republic Healthcare Forum was held in Bishkek. It focused on the interim results of the "Healthy People – Prosperous Country" program (2019–2030) and identified priority areas for further development.

Deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov informed state funding for healthcare is planned to triple over the next five years. While the 2025 budget allocates 44 billion soms for these purposes, by 2030, funding for healthcare programs will reach 130 billion soms.

We intend to expand the State Guaranteed Medical Care Program—for the first time in the country's history, not to reduce it, but to expand the range of services available to citizens. Particular attention will be paid to the health of women and children: national prenatal and neonatal screening programs are being implemented, and vaccination and disease prevention measures are being strengthened. Increasing life expectancy is one of the top priorities of the next five years, he noted.

Health Minister Erkin Checheibaev emphasized that investing in citizens' health is an investment in the country's sustainable future. He noted the progress achieved in integrating primary care and public health services, which contributes to reducing disease rates and improving public health.

Representatives of UN system, World Health Organization, government agencies, and international and donor organizations participated in the forum.

Following the forum, resolution was adopted outlining measures to expand prevention programs, digitalize the industry, improve the qualifications of healthcare workers, and enhance financial transparency.
