Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, October 8, a bilateral meeting took place between the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan, Mederbek Satyev, and the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus, Andrei Shved.
According to the Supreme Court, the meeting was held during Mederbek Satyev's visit to Minsk to participate in the meeting of the Council of Chairmen of Supreme (Highest) Courts of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states.
Mederbek Satyev emphasized that relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus are traditionally friendly, united by a shared history, close legal traditions, and similar challenges currently facing the justice systems of both countries. "In 2014, the Supreme Economic Court of Belarus was merged with the Supreme Court. Therefore, we propose considering the conclusion of a new cooperation agreement between the supreme courts of our countries. I believe such an agreement would allow us to update the framework of our cooperation in light of current conditions and define new areas of interaction. In particular, both sides are interested in digital technologies and artificial intelligence in court operations, the openness and accessibility of justice, the exchange of judicial practice, and the training of judges and court staff," emphasized the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Continuing the meeting, the parties discussed key aspects of the digitalization of judicial systems, the implementation of electronic court proceedings, and the use of modern technologies in the work of the courts in both countries.
Mederbek Satyev expressed interest in studying Belarus's experience in establishing a unified court information system and proposed intensifying the exchange of experience regarding the training and professional development of judicial personnel.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue an active working dialogue, conduct reciprocal delegation visits, and work on a new cooperation agreement between the supreme courts of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
