Tulpar-Kol is a fairly large and clear lake located at an altitude of 3,500 meters in the Alai Range of Kyrgyzstan. It is a favorite place for tourists and climbers visiting the Alai Valley. On clear days, the lake's surface reflects a panorama of Lenin Peak, one of the highest peaks in the Pamir-Alai. That is why the lake is very popular among photographers.
Tulpar-Kol is located within walking distance of Achyk-Tash, the base camp of Lenin Peak. It is also possible to climb it on horseback from the villages of Sary-Mogol and Kashka-Suu, located near the lake.
