Bishkek, Oct. 24, 2025 /Kabar/. Thematic lessons and events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations are being held in all schools of the country. Secondary School No. 100 in Bishkek held class hour with the participation of Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, and Antje Grawe, UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan.

Speaking to the students, Edil Baisalov noted the following:

UN Day is celebrated in all schools because students in Kyrgyzstan should know about the United Nations and be proud that our country is a full member of the organization. Because each of us, both children and adults is responsible for protecting the environment, respecting human rights and strengthening peace on our planet.

During the event, students presented creative works, stands and short presentations about the importance of the UN for the future of the world and young people.

For reference: In 1945, the UN Charter is signed 26 June and comes into force 24 October.
