Bishkek, April 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, Minister Damir Osmonov met with a US delegation led by Utah Senate President J. Stuart Adams at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health.

According to the ministry, the delegation also included representatives of The Stirling Foundation and former US Ambassador to Turkey Jeff Flake.

The minister expressed gratitude to the American side for its consistent support of the Kyrgyz healthcare system and its contribution to the implementation of joint humanitarian and medical initiatives. "Thanks to our collaboration, a number of significant initiatives are being implemented. We are interested in further expanding our partnership and are confident that together we can achieve even more significant results," he noted.

As part of a partnership with the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health and Project C.U.R.E., the delivery of containers with donated medical supplies to three hospitals in the country was financed.

Also, in partnership with MedGlobal, at the request of the Kyrgyz side, funding was provided in May 2025 for the purchase, installation, and training of staff in the use of X-ray and ultrasound equipment, as well as generators, for a new maternity hospital in Manas.

Utah State Senate President J. Stuart Adams noted the high potential for bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to further develop partnerships in the areas of healthcare, humanitarian aid, education, and experience sharing.

Furthermore, Josie McGee, Regional Director for Central Asia at The Stirling Foundation, confirmed her intention to continue projects in Kyrgyzstan and expand her support in the coming years.
