In the first half of the year, the turnover of virtual assets in Kyrgyzstan reached 860 billion soms, Farhat Iminov, head of the secretariat of the National Council for the development of virtual assets and blockchain technologies under Kyrgyz President reported at the meeting. According to him, today there are about 200 licensed participants in the virtual asset market in Kyrgyzstan.
Over the past three years, the market for cryptocurrency operators has grown 28 times. The volume of trading and mining is also growing. If in 2022 the volume of virtual assets amounted to 5 billion soms, then in 2024 it reached 587 billion soms, he said.
