Bishkek, April 23, 2026. /Kabar/. The 13th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) transport ministers is taking place as part of the international transport forum "Kyrgyzstan – a regional hub: uniting continents," currently underway in Bishkek.
During the meeting, Kyrgyz Minister of Transport and Communications Talantbek Soltobaev noted that this forum will serve as an effective platform for making concrete decisions and strengthening cooperation. He also emphasized that significant work has been accomplished in 25 years since the founding of the SCO, and Kyrgyzstan remains open to joint project implementation, the development of multimodal routes, and investment within the Organization.
The 13th meeting is being attended by the transport ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Following the meeting, the draft Regulation on the Special Working Group for the Development of Cooperation between SCO Member States in the Transport Sector is planned to be adopted.
