Bishkek, May 28, 2026 /Kabar/. Currently, 545 fish farms are operating in Kyrgyzstan, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It is noted that, according to the results of the first quarter of 2026, the volume of commercial fish production in the Kyrgyz Republic amounted to 4,029.1 tons.
The regional distribution was as follows:
Chui Region – 2,206.7 tons, 398 farms;
Issyk-Kul Region – 311.4 tons, 48 farms;
Naryn Region – 243.5 tons, 34 farms;
Osh Region – 110.2 tons, 11 farms;
Jalal-Abad Region – 962.2 tons, 39 farms;
Talas Region – 195.1 tons, 15 farms.
The highest production volume was recorded in Chui Region. At the same time, positive dynamics in the development of the fish farming sector in Jalal-Abad Region also continue. These figures demonstrate the active development of aquaculture in the republic's regions.
