Bishkek, June 8, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, 61 thousand citizens are officially registered as unemployed at the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration.

As reported, according to the National Statistics Committee, about 104 thousand citizens are unemployed in Kyrgyzstan.

“We are conducting initial vocational guidance in the direction of providing employment to the unemployed. Due to the high pace of construction in the country, the demand for specialists and workers in this field is very high. The program is currently being prepared for the development of employment and the labor market. There, we intend to introduce new methods of providing employment to unemployed citizens in the country. As an example, in the issue of public paid work, we are considering engaging the unemployed in school renovation work, in consultation with the Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva,” the minister said.

He also touched upon the digitalization work in the ministry, adding that digital services are developing in the cities of the country, but in rural areas, citizens often go to institutions to receive services.
