Bishkek, April 2, 2025. /Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit.
The Cabinet of Ministers said that the meeting was held in an expanded format with the participation of the heads of key ministries and departments of both countries.
During a constructive and substantive conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in key areas: economic, social, investment, industrial and cultural. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for the implementation of joint projects of strategic importance for the economic development of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as well as the fulfillment of the tasks set by the leaders of the two states.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the inviolability of the allied relations and strategic partnership linking Kyrgyzstan and Russia. He noted the traditionally trusting and friendly atmosphere of the meetings, which allow for prompt and effective resolution of pressing issues on the bilateral agenda.
Particular attention was paid to the positive dynamics in the development of trade and economic ties. In 2024, the volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and Russia reached 3.5 billion US dollars, demonstrating a steady growth of 14.5% compared to the previous year. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further increasing trade volumes. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted the busy schedule of bilateral events for the current year, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming official visit of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to Kyrgyzstan, as well as the holding of the 26th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission in Kyrgyzstan.
"Cooperation within the framework of the alliance relations, and all the tasks that were set by our presidents, are being successfully implemented by us," emphasized Adylbek Kasymaliev, confirming the commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to deepening comprehensive cooperation with the Russian Federation.
Alexey Overchuk expressed confidence in the further strengthening of Kyrgyz-Russian ties and confirmed the readiness of the Russian side to provide comprehensive support to Kyrgyzstan in the implementation of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, a solemn ceremony was held to award Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk with a high state award of the Kyrgyz Republic - the Dostuk Order. "It is a great honor for me to inform you that by the decision of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic you have been awarded the high state award of the Kyrgyz Republic - the Dostuk Order, said Adylbek Kasymaliev.
He congratulated Alexey Overchuk on the well-deserved award, emphasizing his personal contribution to strengthening the Kyrgyz-Russian comprehensive cooperation, noting the dynamic growth of trade turnover and the influx of foreign direct investment from Russia.
"You are not only a co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission, but also a great friend of Kyrgyzstan", emphasized Adylbek Kasymaliev, expressing gratitude for the invaluable personal contribution of Alexey Overchuk to the development of friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries.
In his response, Alexey Overchuk expressed sincere gratitude for the honor.
"Thank you very much, I am very touched by this high award. “This order is recognition of our common successes,” he emphasized, adding that the Kyrgyz Republic has always been a reliable friend and ally of the Russian Federation, and expressed confidence in the further development and strengthening of bilateral ties.
