Kyrgyz Cabinet Head Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Bundestag members

Bishkek, Nov. 27,2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev held a working breakfast meeting with members of the Bundestag, members of the "Germany - Central Asia" friendship group. During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues aimed at further strengthening Kyrgyz-German cooperation.

In his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches special importance to the development of relations with Germany, considering it as one of the key partners in the European Union and Europe in general.

He noted that there is a constructive political dialogue between the countries, the development of long-term economic projects, and a common aspiration for stability and development. "Germany was the first European country to initiate a dialogue in the "Central Asia +" format. As a result of the "Central Asia + Germany" summit, cooperation between Germany and the countries of Central Asia has reached a high level and acquired a new content," the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

Speaking about the economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that the country is going through stage of modernization of the national economy. While the average annual GDP growth rate has been at least 9% over the past three years, in the period from January to July 2025, growth reached 11.7%, which is one of the highest in the region.

Head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized the active creation of favorable conditions for investors by simplifying administrative procedures, modernizing the tax system and introducing digital services. He also noted priority areas of cooperation in the areas of modernization of the agro-industrial complex, infrastructure development, export diversification and increasing investment attractiveness.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to interparliamentary cooperation. Adylbek Kasymaliev noted the visits of the Bundestag's "Germany - Central Asia" friendship group to Bishkek in 2023 and 2024 as an important step in strengthening trust and interaction.

At the end of the meeting, Cabinet head emphasized that the active work of the Germany-Central Asia Friendship Group in Bundestag will play an important role in deepening the role of the region and the importance of cooperation with Central Asia, as well as in establishing stable socio-political ties and promoting joint initiatives.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand exchanges, discuss reforms, exchange approaches and strengthen interaction in all areas of bilateral cooperation.
