Agricultural census coverage in Kyrgyzstan reaches 44.9%

Bishkek, April 3, 2026. /Kabar/. The agricultural census coverage in Kyrgyzstan has reached 44.9%. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee.

The data for April 1 were presented during a working meeting, where Minister of Agriculture Erlist Akunbekov assessed the current pace of data collection and the progress of the campaign in the regions.

According to Baktybek Kudaibergenov, head of the National Statistical Committee, high rates were recorded in Naryn region (64.9%), Osh City (60.8%), and Bishkek (54.3%).

In his speech, Erlist Akunbekov emphasized the strategic importance of the agricultural census, noting its key role in forming an objective picture of the agricultural sector, developing effective public policy, and ensuring the country's food security.

Following the meeting, government agencies and local governments were given instructions aimed at accelerating the census. Specifically, tasks have been set to address personnel issues, provide census takers with transportation and communications equipment, and organize daily monitoring of the work's progress.

As a reminder, the agricultural census in the country began on March 20 and will last until April 10, 2026.
