Bishkek, June 24, 2026. /Kabar/. State Mortgage Company (SMC) participated in the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), in Baku, Azerbaijan from June 16 to 19.
According to SMC, on the sidelines of the summit, IDB representatives held a series of important bilateral meetings with the heads of major Arab development institutions, including the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and partners from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).
In particular, Kyrgyz Ministry of Finance met with IDB President Mohammed Suleiman Al-Jasser. The parties discussed in detail the parameters and key stages of the joint project "Financing affordable housing in Kyrgyzstan in accordance with sharia standards."
Furthermore, on June 19 in Bishkek, the IDB and SFD discussed the current status of the "Housing finance in Kyrgyzstan" project. This initiative aims to build affordable apartments as part of the large-scale state housing program "Menin Uyum"(My house).
