Austrian experts to consult in Ala-Too Resort construction process

Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2025 /Kabar/. Ala-Too Resort state enterprise signed a service agreement with the Austrian company SkiMIS. According to the state enterprise's press service, Zharkynbek Maksutov, Director of the Ala-Too Resort state enterprise, and Matthias Schmid, Director of SkiMIS, who has over 20 years of experience managing and operating leading ski resorts in the Alps, Scandinavia, New Zealand, and Eastern Europe, signed a consulting agreement for the ski resort project.

SkiMIS, which provides customized consulting services for the development of modern winter tourism destinations and their efficient operation, will organize all necessary construction work at Central Asia's largest resort throughout the year: pistes, lifts, snowmaking systems, snow removal, avalanche control, as well as a ski school and entry/exit systems. "Furthermore, the company will help jointly plan and optimize the resort's architectural, technical, and operational aspects. Thanks to its experience working to international standards, Ala-Too Resort will be able to become a professional tourist destination," the statement reads.

It is specified that, as part of the Ala-Too Resort ski resort project, SkiMIS provides extensive expertise in conceptual design, operational planning, and solution implementation in a practical, independent, and results-oriented manner.

"The company not only acts as a traditional consultant but also provides all necessary assistance for the construction of the resort according to international standards, ensuring the effective functioning of processes, systems, and structures in day-to-day operations. This creates the conditions for the creation of sustainable, economically successful, and fully operational ski resort, utilizing advanced international practices," the company emphasizes.
