Bishkek, May 25, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Presidential Press Secretary Askat Alagozov met with BBC Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Richard Colborne. He shares in social media.
"We discussed issues of media cooperation, as well as promoting large-scale events taking place in our country to a global audience.
"In particular, he proposed extensive coverage of upcoming events: Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, and the World Nomad Games," Alagozov wrote.
Furthermore, the presidential press secretary added that Richard Colborne assured the BBC that it is interested in conveying information about Kyrgyzstan, including the country's official position, to a global audience.
"I would like to note that this year the BBC Kyrgyz Service marks 30 years since it began operating in our country," concluded Askat Alagozov.
