Bishkek, May 19, 2026 /Kabar/. The opening of the exhibition "Beauty of Tajikistan: Heritage for the Future" featuring works by contemporary Tajik artists took place in Bishkek as part of the Days of Tajik Culture in Kyrgyzstan.

Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Mambetaliev noted in his opening address that this is not simply an art exhibition, but a space for cultural dialogue, mutual respect, and the spiritual rapprochement of two fraternal peoples.

He noted that the exhibition's special value lies in the combination of various artistic styles—from classical painting and graphics to contemporary creative explorations and abstract forms. These works reflect Tajikistan's majestic mountains, scenes of everyday life, national motifs, and the artists' desire to preserve cultural heritage while simultaneously expressing a contemporary artistic language.

"I would like to note that last year, the Days of Kyrgyz Culture were held in Tajikistan to great acclaim. The event included large-scale concerts featuring artists, folk crafts exhibitions, and meetings with creative delegations. "The cultural and humanitarian exchange program, led by the two countries' leaders, took place in cities across Tajikistan, allowing visitors to become acquainted with the traditional art and heritage of the Kyrgyz people," he emphasized.

Tajikistan's Minister of Culture, Sattoriyon Matlubakhon Amonzoda, noted that today's exhibition is more than just a display of works of art; it is a sincere dialogue between two fraternal peoples through the language of art, beauty, and spiritual values.

She emphasized that art knows no borders or translators; it speaks the language of the heart, uniting people, cultures, and generations.

"Tajik-Kyrgyz relations have historically been founded on mutual respect, good neighborliness, spiritual closeness, and centuries-old cultural ties. Our peoples are united by a shared history, traditions, love for their native land, and the desire to preserve the rich heritage of their ancestors," she said.
