Bishkek, June 5, 2026 /Kabar/. As part of his official visit, the Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin visited the Bishkek sanitary landfill and the newly built eco-technological plant.

Mayor Aibek Zhunushaliev introduced the guest to the waste sorting line opened in December 2025 and the recycling plant on Fere Street. Belarusian company Sifania - Ecotechnika supplied technological equipment for these facilities.

Alexander Turchin highly appreciated the creation of an effective closed loop for waste recycling in Bishkek.

The delegation also got acquainted with the construction of eco-technological plant for generating electricity from waste.

As noted, when the project is fully operational, it will process up to 3 thousand tons of solid waste per day and generate up to 90 MW of electricity per hour. It will also be the largest environmental project of this type in Central Asia.

Following the visit, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev noted that this meeting will make a significant contribution to the further development of bilateral cooperation.
