Bishkek, May 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev took part in the Bishkek International Financial Forum (BIFF), dedicated to digital transformation, security, and innovative development.
"Today, digital transformation is one of the key priorities of Kyrgyzstan's public policy and a crucial factor in the country's sustainable socioeconomic development. Kyrgyzstan is consistently pursuing a course toward developing an innovative economy, modernizing the financial system, improving the quality of public services, and expanding the availability of modern financial services for the public and businesses. Kyrgyzstan is consistently implementing digital solutions and building modern financial ecosystem based on technology, transparency, inclusiveness, and trust," the chairman said.
Adylbek Kasymaliev noted the active development of mobile financial solutions, electronic government services, and modern banking technologies, as well as the ongoing systematic work to develop digital financial infrastructure, improve instant payment mechanisms, and integrate government information systems.
"One of the key elements of digital transformation has become the Tunduk interdepartmental electronic interaction system, which facilitates online data exchange between government agencies, financial institutions, and other participants in the digital ecosystem. I would also like to specifically highlight the Digital Som project, which covers virtually all sectors of the country's economy. "We are confident that, once fully implemented, the digital som will ensure the efficiency, transparency, and security of payments within our country," he said.
Kasymaliev continued that Kyrgyz government agencies, together with financial market representatives, are actively working to develop and improve mechanisms to combat fraud, strengthen the cyber resilience of the financial system, and increase the population's digital literacy. Important step in the development of the digital economy was the entry into force in February 2026 of the Digital Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which forms a modern regulatory framework for digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence, and data security and protection.
Concluding his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is open to international cooperation in digital technologies and is interested in partnerships, investments, and the exchange of experience.
