Bishkek, June 5, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, June 5, passenger train No. 608/609 on Bishkek-Balykchy-Bishkek route resumed service as part of the summer tourist season. Kyrgyz Temir Jolu reports.
The train departed Bishkek-2 Station at 8:06 AM and arrived in Balykchy at 12:37 PM, delivering passengers to the shores of Issyk-Kul lake.
Two modernized, luxury carriages have been added. The train now consists of 14 cars—six standard interregional and eight luxury carriages. The company notes that as passenger traffic increases, additional interregional carriages will be added to the train.
To celebrate the season's opening, the company organized festive program for passengers at Bishkek-2 Station, and the train was ceremoniously welcomed in Balykchy by the city administration.
Train schedule:
From June 5 to 21 — Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays;
From June 26 to September 13 — daily.
