Bishkek calls newlyweds to plant tree as a symbol of love

Bishkek, June 29, 2026. /Kabar/. New ecological and social project called "Planting a tree for newlyweds" has been launched in Bishkek, combining family values ​​and environmental protection.

As part of the project, which is being organized in collaboration with the GREEN AIR company, newlyweds can plant a tree in the city's parks and squares as a symbol of their love. The first 5 couples who apply first will receive a gift of seedlings.

The couples should apply at least two weeks before the date of planting the tree on the city hall's official website or by calling 0880 005123. Payments are made via QR code:

15,500 soms — from April 10 to October 25 (closed-root seedlings);

7,800 soms — for open-root seedlings in spring (March 10 - April 10) and autumn (October 26 - November 25).

"The project offers such tree species as maple, white birch, linden, catalpa and chestnut. Saplings can be purchased from the company's nursery or, depending on the requirements, are allowed to be purchased independently. The planted trees will then be cared for and maintained by municipal services free of charge in areas with special irrigation system. Special certificates have also been put on sale to reward young people with this service," the report says.
